OUR TRIP

We were ready to leave for the Penang early in the morning around 8. It was decided to leave the UTP at 8 but due to some delays we left around 9. We had hired two cars and we were ten in number. We went straight to Ipoh and had our breakfast at McDonald. Cheese Burger, Potato nugget and tea, a perfect breakfast and we all enjoyed it alot.
After the breakfast we left for the trip. Attaullah, Sarfraz, Sohail Memon, Najaf and were in one car while Aijaz, Tariq, Imtiaz, Fawad and Kaleem (Guest)were in other car. The way to Penang was fortunately straight highway and we easily reached the city of Penang called Butter worth. After the City comes the Penang Bridge. The Bridge is almost 1.5 Kilometers which connects the one part of the penang to other. There is also the ferry service which connects the city of Butter worth with the city of George town.
After crossing the Bridge (Note the bridge has its own toll), we went straight to George town to find some budget hotels. We went to Chulia Street (Lebhu Chulia)to find some hotels. After some time we found the most comfortable hotel with the least price. One night stay was about 70 Rm for 5 persons, so was the most reasonable. After some fresh up, we went straight to batu Firangi beach to have some fun. We used the GPS of Najaf and belive me without this we might not reach there easily.
We had lunch first and then started our beach expedition. I remember, there was one person who was stocking us when we were putting our precious wallets and mobiles in the car. Thanks to Aijaz, with whose advice we took all those to the beach (Later it was found that the car was searched for the things... hahahahah they couldnt take anything).
We had alot of fun at the beach, swimming, running and playing volley ball was fun. We also played Wanj Wati at the beach and every one was watching us with wonder and excitement. We all enjoyed the sun set at beach and it was very romantic. (loved it alot). After the beach and the bath, we were ready for our next destination i.e Penang hill. Finding the Penang hill was hard, i must say. We searched through GPS and used maps to find it. The Sign boards didnt had much information. But the worst was yet to happen, when we reached at penang hill, we came to know that the train was under service and the other way was closed for night. Well every one was disappointed with that so every one thought to have good dinner.

Sun Set at Beach

We came back to the Chulia Street where in we found one hotel named Kantian. Believe me who ever is reading, I have not found more tastier food in whole Malaysia than in Kantian Penang. It was so damn tasty that one must try it once in a life. Some ordered Chicken biryani while others, the Nan tandory. The food was very delicious and well cooked and no doubt I understood why they call Penang the Food Paradise. We had a tea after wards and it was good too.
After the Delicious dinner, was the time to explore the city of George town at night. We walked through the city in dark, enjoying and talking pictures. Since City of george town had been influenced by the Britain, its Architecture was appalling and incredible. The churches, the temples, and the buildings were so well designed. Cycle-scooters i should say were used as a tourist ride to visit through the city, which portrayed the Chinese Culture. The streets were wide and very beautiful.
After the exploration, all went back to hotel, where in we played cards and had fun chatting and playing. It was planned to do many things next day.

In the morning at 9, we came to know that our friend Fawad was invited by one tamil friend at his home for breakfast. We were unconformable to go with this big group to his home, but since he insisted a lot we agreed to went to have breakfast with his family. The friend came to the Chulia street, from where we had to follow him to his house. But then a tragic thing happened.................

We were lost......
While following the cars, we were lost at the city of penang. The first car while following the friend informed us about that and asked us to go back to USM where we could meet. But unfortunately while returning to the USM, we moved to the road of butterworth, which means crossing PENANG BRIDGE. haha

WE were lost and we had crossed the bridge for 3rd time (2nd time during night). It was very frustrating that, all the roads leaded to Bridge with only narrow roads to the main city. Anyways, i didnt liked the Road management, because it was very confusing and seemed like where ever you go, the Bridge will attract you. Some more the U turns were placed after 7 or 10 kms. so it resulted in we Roaming around the city looking for the destinations. One small mistake and you are back at the bridge haha...
Well we went to the Snake Temple as well as the War museum and Had fun watching the Snakes and war Strategies used for attacking. We also visited QueensBay Mall at the return of the WAR MUSEUM and had Lunch there. After that we left for Utp and crossed the Bridge again (total of 7 times..OMG. BEAWARe)

After the trip, I feel like, i know all the roads and ways of city as well as the Uturns and Signals. I remember we were looking for U turn for 10 minutes once. Anyways, the trip was fantastic. Visiting with friends is fun especilly the city like Penang. I loved it alot.

Dont know why, the first time i entered into the city, i felt in love with it. It felt like I was at home. I didnt tell any one, but seemed like visiting this city was my wish, felt like I have been visiting this in my dreams.. ahahha (filmy... yes although i could nt tell out the right ways).

I liked the Beach, the City, its architecture and the food. As a whole i liked everything about Penang except for its road management, quite confusing for Outsiders. I will never ever forget this trip and CITY OF PENANG
